What is the difference between embossing and debossing?

Problem with folder pockets
The folders I purchased have very weak pockets and as soon as I put documents in the folders, the pockets tear. Definitely not a good design.

Our factory testing has approved these particular folders to hold 100 to 110 sheets of standard 20lb paper. It is surprising and concerning to hear that these are tearing as soon as documents are placed in them.
