Preferred Applications

Illustrator CS4 and earlier | Accepted file formats: ai, eps, pdf, ps

Vector files with all fonts converted to outlines. If your type is not outlined, please be sure to send the required font files. All linked images must be included and created at a minimum of 300dpi.

Photoshop CS4 and earlier | Accepted file formats: psd, tiff, jpeg, gif, eps, bmp

Raster files must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and be 100% of the actual imprint size.

QuarkXpress 6.5 and Adobe InDesign CS4 | Accepted file extensions: qxd, indd

Please make sure to send all files used in the document; including fonts and placed images, as well as a print-ready pdf. All placed images included need to be a minimum of 300dpi and 100% of the actual imprint size. QuarkXpress files may also be exported as hi-res eps or pdf files, and InDesign files may be exported as hi-res pdf files, which can often produce more readily usable files.

Microsoft Word | Accepted file extensions: doc

We cannot guarantee that files created in Microsoft Word will produce high-quality images and text. Do not place logos or pictures in word files, send files separately. All images need to be a minimum of 300dpi and 100% of the actual imprint size. If you don't have access to a file format other than a doc file, please send us what you have and we will make it work.

Artwork checklist for preferred applications:

• Artwork must be submitted at actual size of finished product.
• Fonts must be converted to outlines/paths.
• All Placed/linked images must be a minimum of 300dpi and 100% of the actual imprint size. Please be advised that images pulled from the web are not a suitable format for print.
• All Placed/linked images must be embedded or included separately.
• Images must include the required bleed if necessary.
• Spot colors should be specifically identified. Include white if necessary.
• Please be advised that images pulled from the web are low resolution and not suitable for print.

Microsoft Office and CorelDraw Guidelines

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and CorelDraw files may require additional prep work and incur a small art fee.

Saving your Corel Draw file as an Adobe Illustrator eps file

• Embed all images
• Convert text to curves
• Export as Illustrator eps

Microsoft Publisher | Accepted file extension: pub
Saving your Publisher file as an pdf file

• Under file, print, select Adobe pdf writer
• Under properties select press quality and save your pdf

If you can't get artwork in our preferred format:

Send over whatever art you have and we will evaluate it and let you know what needs to be done. We will do whatever we can to make sure that your order is not held up because of artwork issues. Often times we can recreate your logo quickly with little or no charge. However, there may be a fee in assisting you in the creation of your artwork.

What if you don't have artwork files:

PrintGlobe has a talented in-house art department that is eager and ready to create artwork for you! If you don't have artwork, just tell your Dedicated Account Manager what you're thinking of, and we'll create it for you, generally between 24 - 48 hours. If PrintGlobe rebuilds or creates your artwork, we will be happy to send you all new vector files via email, upon request. Also, once we have your artwork on file, we archive it for life, making ordering next time really easy! Graphic design fees may apply.
