Austin Printing and Design Firm Launches National Printing Super-Site, Forms Veteran Management Advisory Team
Austin, TX — Six year-old Austin printing and graphic design company, Corporate Communications of Austin (CCA), has launched a new company, PrintGlobe, and a nationally targeted online printing and creative services depot. Called "PrintGlobe", the website caters to the $200+ Billion dollar domestic printing market. PrintGlobe seeks to offer the largest selection of print and design products and services "anywhere on the planet" and establish itself as the leading printing brand on the web. Specifically the site will target graphic designers, SOHO entrepreneurs and small-large organizations.
Dan Steinborn, 30, President of Corporate Communications of Austin and the newly formed PrintGlobe,Inc, wants to make PrintGlobe the "Amazon.com" of the printing world.
"By offering an unequaled, high quality selection of printing and design products, coupled with our customization capabilities and helpful customer service approach, we will offer consumers a dream destination for every printing and design need," says Steinborn.
Steinborn points out that the timing of the new internet venture is highly beneficial. "While there are more than 58,000 printers in the United States, we have less than six serious online competitors." Steinborn also notes that less than 1% of all printing is purchased through the internet. The convenience and cost savings presented by the Internet and information technology have created an increasing exodus of personal and business consumers to the internet with total e-commerce, business to business sales alone projected to top $7.3 trillion by 2004. Steinborn asserts that the printing sector is soon to follow, and that PrintGlobe.com will take the lead. He has certainly built the dream team to help him take the first big steps in that direction.
PrintGlobe has recruited a strategic management committee of industry veterans who have the credentials and relevant knowledge to take the company to the pinnacle of the printing business. One member, Virginia Rogers, is both a printing icon and an entrepreneurial success story. Ms. Rogers founded both Ginny's Printing and the highly successful Relax the Back, building each into very successful, industry leading companies. The President of another prominent Austin printing firm, Dick Hedges of Austin Business Printing, is also on the advisory committee. Other members of the advisory team include David Steinborn, a former Mayor, bank president and prolific New Mexico real estate developer, and Kirk Wilson, President of the Austin marketing agency, Bazzirk.
